EquiVolt Savings Calculator
See how much you could save with home battery storage
Based on Ofgem typical UK household figures
16 kWh nominal is about 14.4 kWh usable, 32 kWh is about 28.8 kWh.
Six months is included in the system price; paid plans start at month 7. EquiVolt+ manages charging to improve savings and protect the cells, and it is what holds your cover at 10 years rather than the standard 6.
Your flat-rate or peak-rate unit price
Typically 6–12p/kWh on a time-of-use tariff
Length of the off-peak tariff window.
These figures are modelled, not measured. The model assumes 90% of nameplate capacity is usable, that 90% of your consumption can be shifted onto the battery, and 85% round-trip efficiency on everything the battery stores and returns. Your own results will depend on your tariff, your usage pattern, and how much of your consumption falls outside the off-peak window.
Estimates are illustrative. The baseline (without battery) assumes all usage at your current flat or peak rate unless you select that you already have a time-of-use tariff. The with-battery figure assumes usage during the off-peak window is billed at the off-peak rate, with 90% of peak-window usage shifted to battery overnight charging (85% round-trip efficiency). Monthly figures apply seasonal demand factors for your heating type; months where peak-window usage exceeds battery capacity carry the excess at the peak rate. Annual saving is the sum of monthly savings less any subscription cost. The 10-year estimate assumes constant tariff rates.
