    Rob Mitchell-Williams

Rob is a co-founder at EquiVolt. He is passionate about creating a better world for ourselves and future generations. He graduated from Newcastle University with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering and has had a successful career in battery materials. Whilst Rob was working for Tesla in the GigaBerlin factory he realised that the energy market in England was fundamentally broken and he wanted to use his skills to help. Shortly afterward he quit his job to pursue EquiVolt full-time, and now he spends his days working on stabilising the grid and bringing electricity prices down.

    Tom Mitchell-Williams

Tom is a co-founder at EquiVolt. He wants to put power back in customers' hands – literally and financially. With a PhD in Materials Science from Cambridge and experience at start-ups in Switzerland and the UK, Tom saw an opportunity to democratise energy storage: where normal people benefit directly through lower bills whilst helping stabilise the grid and cut emissions. He believes the best solutions create win-win-wins, and affordable battery storage is perfectly timed for the UK market where high, fluctuating electricity prices mean households can make real savings.

    Kat Carr

Kat is a co-founder at EquiVolt. She has a PhD in health economics from Newcastle University and believes strongly in making electricity affordable to everyone and reducing energy poverty. Her background in economics means she is familiar with markets, supply and demand - and she can see that the electricity market works against households. With EquiVolt, she saw an opportunity to disrupt the electricity market and help households get a better deal whilst maximising the energy we can get with renewables.
